How to force an Update Detection of the AUC

The Automatic Update Client will check every 17 to 22 hours for new updates. To force the detection process please follow this steps.

- Stop the "Automatic Updates" Service (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services)
- Check that the AUState registry value, located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\ is set to 2
- Delete the LastWaitTimeout registry value, located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\
- Start the "Automatic Updates" Service

The Automatic Update Client will begin the update detection process in approximately 10 minutes.
